About Linda Lyng
I am a 47 year-old wife, mother, writer, yoga teacher, database administrator, and seeker of the ultimate truth. The order of focus may change given the circumstances, but all my roles are informed by the last!
Yoga came into my life in 1997 but it wasn't until I went to my first class with Bob Butera in his old Phoenixville location that I realized Yoga philosophy and practice was what I had been seeking my entire life; it made everything else make sense. I completed a year-long teacher training in 2000 and can truly say that Yoga changed (and continues to change) my life for the better. I am humbled and amazed each day at how some aspect of Yoga brings understanding and light to situations I encounter.
Teaching Yoga is just another facet of a continuous connection with what I can only call grace. During the actual process of being in front of a class, I feel the line blur between who is teaching and who is the teacher. I feel the presence of Yoga itself, my teachers past and present, along with my own "inner guru" informing my words, while the questions and comments from students (accessing their "inner guru") adds to the understanding of what is being taught. We are all students in this 'school of life' and it is our ability to share what is true in our innermost being that makes our time together a valuable learning experience.
